This is the all-new Hyundai i20!
Hyundai have given their small hatchback a total revamp, and it’s got the likes of the Volkswagen Polo & Ford Fiesta in its sights! The question is, doesit have what it takes to topple these class leaders?
As for the looks, well it’s certainly more striking! The new grille gives it much more aggressive look, as do the creases that have now been added to the bodywork.
Unfortunately, the aggression doesn't continue under the bonnet. The i20 only comes with one engine choice - a 1-litre 3 cylinder turbo-petrol that comes with mild-hybrid technology. It only puts down 100hp, although the hybrid tech will help give you a little boost through the starter motor. Although, let’s be honest, you probably don’t need too much ‘oomph’ if you’re buying an i20!
So what do you think - do we have a potential new class leader on our hands? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

With our dollar now (aud), this is a $30k plus vehicle.....way too high. It would need to start at the outgoing Clio's price bracket, otherwise an absolute failure. For mid $30k's there are way better cars for sale in Oz that I'd choose over this....only time will tell.....the "plandemic" has screwed the world so badly
Yeah, there are others that are better. Quite more expensive though..

Hyundai droped the ECO mode. There are only Comfort and Sport modes.
The Indian unit and the UK one is quite different unlike the previous generation.

The Hyundai i20 is a good alternative for.... good crap.. sh upp.. the i20 is good to burn it... It's simply crap. Plastic. Terrible safety, poor brakes, poor handling just about everything is simply awkward...
Another video about Hyundai that Matt looks so boring and unfair. Matt Hyundai is the 5th car manufacturer of the world with the tendency to go higher! So DEAL with it and stop doing videos that embarassing yourself that you are a very good reviewer in general and not Hyundai because most of the people LOVES Hyundai!

The Hyundai i20 has scored the Indian car of the year a multiple times....it is the best selling hatch in India in comparison to the Suzuki Swift

In Germany you can also get it with a 1.2L 4 Cylinder Engine with 84HP and the 1.0L 3 Cylinder with 120HP. Why not for UK?

Exterior design language reminds me VAG group and more precisely Seat design language. Without badges first time seeing it, I definitely would guess this as some new Seat model. I like it.

5 year peace of mind = Then just when you have paid off the loan, it becomes too expensive to repair (costs no longer paid by the warranty) and failing MOT. Forced to buy a new one and a new loan.
i20 has Gamma engines = Recall ready LOL hyundai kia engine failures Would rather a 25,30 or 35 year old Honda. Still running like new capable of daily driving to work. Feels like it can go another 35 years.
All cars are great NEW but few are great OLD Judging by how Hyundai (and Kia) cars aged they are not very good cars when old They are currently recalling these engines = Gamma, Theta and Nu fitted Virtually every line up in the last 10 years (6 Million vehicles and counting)! 43mpg for a modern 1 litre supermini with mild hybrid system is pretty poor - my 2015 1.2 Swift averages over 50mpg with a lot of Cambridge city centre driving! I've seen Fiesta ST owners get near 40mpg...
